Secretary of Party Committee, Chairwoman Pham Thi Thanh Tra introduced the potential of Yen Bai province to Korean enterprises at the conference of investment promotion with South Korean businesses.

The project of high-tech producting and processing rabbit with a total investment of 1.700 billion by Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Co. of Japan invested in 2015 in Thuong Bang La commune, Van Chan district, has been into operation. Coming to the year of 2016, series of projects invested by large economic groups simultaneously have been implemented.

In 2016, Yen Bai decided to grant investment policy to 35 new projects with a total registered capital of over 16,000 billion VND. 24 projects were decided to adjust the investment certificate, including 05 projects of agro - forestry and fisheries; 03 projects of processing agricultural - forestry products and foodstuffs, 07 projects of mining and processing minerals; 03 projects of  manufacturing and distributing electricity, …..

Especially, some investors are potential and prestigious corporations, enterprises investing in  projects with large scale and big invested capital such as Hoa Sen Group implementing the project of Shop house of VinGroup Corporation, Center of Trade, services, hotels, restaurants and Events of Hoa Sen Corporation with the invested capital of 1.200 billion VND; Vingroup implementing the project of Center for Trade, entertainment and commercial shophouses with the invested capital of 685 billion VND; Chan – Thien – My Group implementing the project of Center for introducing tourism and comercial promotion with the invested capital of 1.707 billion VND; MCC Investment and Trade Joint Stock Company  implementing the project mountainous economic complexes with the invested capital of 1.250 billion VND.

Recently, Seibu Kaihatsu JSC in Japan has come to Yen Bai to study and  survey investment opportunities in the agricultural sector; Solkiss Group in Korea has come to study and survey to constructing the project on solar power on Thac Ba lake.

The thing attracting investors to Yen Bai is the reform of administrative procedures, infrastructure investment to meet the development and the regulations and incentive policies as well as exploiting the advantages and potentials of the province in a reasonable manner.

Yen Bai authorities have always recognized and been consistent with the point of view that for development it need to promote industrialization associated with effectively exploitation of the advantages of the province, through the concretization of each policy of direction, operation to the plannings, plans, development programs of each sector and level.

Attitude and demand, the dynamics and the pioneer of provincial leaders in the dialogue with business, leaders at all levels, are frequently exposed sectors, to meet, listen to and promptly resolve difficulties and problems faced by businesses and investors. From 2016, the provincial People’s Committee holds monthly a program of "Coffee - Entrepreneurs – The government is always with enterprises", creating cohesion and to listen, to share the difficulties and obstacles from both sides to make the decision, the active  and timely support in the process of production and business of enterprises. Along with that, Yen Bai focused on planning transport infrastructure, industrial parks, urban areas, information - telecommunications, electricity, water, available clean land ... in synchronization and gradual modernization.

Parallel to that, Yen Bai has abundant, high quality human resources, and is the center of vocational training in the Northern area. Currently, Yen Bai province has Yen Bai Training College, Nghia Lo Vocational School, Luc Yen Vocational School ...  which train about 10 thousand people, making sure to meet the needs of high quality human resources for investment projects.

Yen Bai has 3 national industrial zones (Minh Quan Industrial Zone; Southern Industrial Zone, Au Lau Industrial Zone); 8 industrial parks planned near Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway in order to create favourable conditions for traveling and meeting the investment needs of investors at home and abroad coming to Yen Bai for learning and implementing investment projects in the province.

Yen Bai doesn’t have too many advantages, the nature does not favor so much potentials, but Yen Bai has made the consistent practice and direction, especially the pioneer the leader of the province and leaders of authorities at all level calling on and attracting investment.

Promoting the results achieved, Yen Bai continues to promote industrial development in depth, encourage and prioritize enterprises exploiting processing; focus on the planning of transport infrastructure, industrial and ancillary works in synchronization and modernization; regularly meet, listen and promptly resolve the difficulties and problems of enterprises, investors, ensuring full requirements and favorable conditions for investors coming to Yen Bai.
