Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, the minister Counselor and Charge d'Affairs of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Korea, received and had a working session with Yen Bai delegation.
On behalf of Yen Bai provincial leadership, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Provincial Party Secretary expressed sincere appreciation to the Embassy for its support in connecting and working with the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) and Korean localities and businesses.
Mr. Do Duc Duy provided an overview of the province's potential, advantages, preferential policies, and investment incentives, as well as highlighted notable achievements in economic and social development, national defense and security, party building, and the province's political system since the beginning of the term. He also shared the positive outcomes of recent working sessions with the authorities of Gangwon Province and the city of Donghae in Gangwon Province on March 4 and March 5.
Mr. Duy hoped that the Embassy will continue to support, serve as a bridge connecting Korea and Vietnam, as well as fostering ties between the localities of the two countries in general and between Yen Bai Province and Korean localities in particular. He emphasized the importance of supporting Yen Bai Province in sending its labor force for studies, vocational training, and work in Korea, as well as facilitating connections and introductions to Korean businesses and investors to explore, survey, and implement investment projects, contributing to strengthening and diversifying foreign direct investment (FDI) sources into Yen Bai province. Furthermore, there is a need to establish connections and provide assistance to Yen Bai Province in conducting trade promotion activities and supporting the export of its key products to the Korean market. This is particularly important for agricultural and forestry products, as well as Yen Bai's specialties, such as cinnamon (cinnamon essential oil, handicrafts, etc.), tea, and processed wood products (wooden utensils, furniture, etc.). Support should also be provided for promoting the unique nature, people, and cultural identity of Yen Bai Province to attract and introduce Korean investors who are interested in exploring and investing in tourism development projects in Yen Bai province. Additionally, efforts should be made to attract Korean tourists to visit Yen Bai Province by showcasing its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and distinctive local identity.
Appreciating the potential, as well as expressing his impression of the socio-economic development results of Yen Bai province, Minister Counselor Nguyen Viet Anh also shared and informed the delegation about investment needs and issues that Korean businesses are concerned about in the process of investing abroad.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh affirmed: The Vietnamese Embassy in Korea will actively coordinate and connect so that Yen Bai province can soon sign a cooperation agreement with Gangwon province and between localities of Yen Bai province and some localities, districts and cities of Korea. The Vietnamese Embassy in Korea is ready to accompany and coordinate with Yen Bai province in the investment promotion process, inviting Korean associations and businesses to explore investment cooperation opportunities in Yen Bai.
He believed that the business trip of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Secretary Do Duc Duy in Korea this time will achieve good results, contributing to promoting and elevating the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea.
