YBP - On July 13, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank Vietnam, and the Indiana University of the US to hold the online Forum “Local Development Dialogue 2021”.

YBP - With the determined goal of turning Yen Bai into a decent province in the Midland and Northern Mountainous region by 2025 and in the group of leading developed provinces in the region by 2030, Yen Bai province has issued an Action Program to implement the Master Strategy for international integration for the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

On June 26th, Yen Bai Provincial People’s Committee worked with the delegation of Vietnam Maccadamia Association about coorperation programme on developing maccadamia in Yen Bai.

On June 2nd, The Trade Promotion Agency - Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the ASEAN Center - JAPAN organized an online conference on trade in agricultural products and food from Vietnam - Japan 2021. In Yen Bai province, it was attended by leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, leaders of the Provincial Cooperative Union and nearly 10 enterprises and cooperatives.

According to the Decision approving and announcing the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR) 2020 of the departments, Office of the People's Committee of the province and Yen Bai city ranked first.

With the special location, Yen The township – Luc Yen district sets the target to become IV - grade urban and the town of Yen Bai province in period of 2021-2024

YBP - In order to develop the rural economy in the direction of exploiting local potentials and enhancing the value of agricultural products, Yen Bai province has implemented "The program of One commune one product for the period of 2019 - 2020, with a vision to 2030" (OCOP). Up to now, many OCOP products of the province have initially affirmed their brands, brought high economic efficiency to ethnic minorities, contributing to increasing local economic resources.

As the district with the largest tea area in the province, Van Chan district has 4,490 hectares of tea, concentrated most in Lien Son Farm town and 5 communes outside the district. Thanks to proper care, the tea output reaches 10-12 tons/ha/year.

YBP - The People's Committee of Yen Binh district held a conference to announce the detailed planning project of Thinh Hung 1 and Thinh Hung 2 ecological urban areas.

YBP - According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, in the context of general difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, but with the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, along with the efforts of localities and businesses, therefore, industrial production activities in the first 6 months of 2021 still maintained a positive growth compared to the same period last year.
