Leaders of Central Party Committee, heads of Ministries and central agencies as well as nationwide provinces, ambassadors of Laos, Korea and tourism enterprises in Vietnam participated the program.
In side of Yen Bai province: Mrs. Pham Thi Thanh Tra –Secretary of Provinciak Pary Committee,  Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Duong Van Thong – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Do Duc Duy - Chairman of PPC and leaders of provincial departments and agencies in different generations attended the opening ceremony of Yen Bai Tourism Year Festival 2017.

Having the opening speech, Mr. Do Duc Duy said that in response to the 2017 Lao Cai-North-Western Region National Toursim Year, Yen Bai with other provinces to start a chain of tourism activities scheduled for this year. The event is the meeting place of the "cultural colors" and the opportunity to connect cultural –tourism products which help to promote cooperation for developing toursim Yen Bai - North-Western Region with other areas in the whole country and foreign countries. The event aims to uphold potentialities, strengths and attract investment on unique tourism products and creat new development steps.
Coming to Yen Bai Tourism Year 2017, tourists will experience and discover unique tourism products and a variety of activities: such as Festival of Practicing religion on worshiping Mau Thuong Ngan,  Festival of Parachute, Community tourism activities and Mu Cang Chai terraced field.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was a special art show with the theme of “Sparkling Yen Bai colors” which gathered leading artists in Vietnam with a combination of traditional music and dance performances complimented by contemporary art and lighting.

The special art show consists of 4 chapters, they are: Sacred Yen Bai, Mountainous Landscapes, Colors of Brocade, Future vision created an overview of Yen Bai with long history of culture, with the image of mountain and river combination, with famous historical and cultural monuments; where Mother Au Co started her goddess journey with 50 children to the mountainous area.
In the morning of the same day Yen Bai province organized a conference to introduce and promote  tourism investment in Yen Bai. At this event, Yen Bai also introduced tourism enterprises about local potential for tourism development and tourist sites as well as Typical provincial tourism products and connecting routes to serve domestic and foreign tourists.
