Yen Bai is known for its unique beauty. This place is an interesting destination for tourists for famous places of interest, culture and customs of indigenous people. There are many tourist sites associated with the protection of natural landscapes in the districts of Van Chan, Tram Tau and Mu Cang Chai in such places as: waterfall at Hang Te Village, Lang Nhi commune in Tram Tau district; Limestone cave in Nuoc Nong village in Tu Le commune in Van Chan district; Limestone cave in Nam Khat commune in Mu Cang Chai district; Mo Waterfall in Mo De commune in Mu Cang Chai district; The ancient rock in Lao Chai commune, Mu Cang Chai district ...
In particular, referring to Yen Bai, tourists immediately think of Mu Cang Chai with the terraced fields all over the mountainside. Mu Cang Chai terraces are also hailed as "the pinnacle of the beauty crystallized by Vietnamese culture and labor."
Recognizing the advantages and potentials for tourism development in these areas, Thinh Dat Green Tourism Development JSC has quickly deployed and developed the project "Investment in construction of oil processing factory and Tourist sites in Van Chan district, Tram Tau district, Mu Cang Chai district in Yen Bai province "aiming to balance the ecosystem and supply the market with large quantities of colza oil to meet the demand for vegetable oil in the country and export.
The project is well suited for the development of rural industry associated with tourism development, thereby, contributing to promoting the local economy, increasing annual budget revenues, creating regular jobs and income for people. In previous years, Mu Cang Chai people only cultivated one rice crop. After many years of campaigning Mu Cang Chai people have cultivated the spring crop. Due to the lack of water and ice, the fields were "dormant".
So planting rapeseed will be a new direction. Rapeseed has a high oil content, which is the main source of colza oil. In addition, the season of flowering is in late February, early March, ( after the Lunar New Year) the brilliant yellow of the flowers on terraced fields will attract thousands of tourists to Mu Cang Chai.
Mr. Giang A Tong - Secretary of Mu Cang Chai District Party Committee expects: "In recent years, Mu Cang Chai is well known to many domestic and foreign tourists by the brilliant yellow terraces across the hillsides.
Because of the limited food and drink service, we are looking forward to the project of Thinh Dat Green Tourism Development Joint Stock Company that will have positive development directions to contribute more and more visitors to visit and promote the local image, contributing to the development of market-oriented agriculture in association with tourism and services. In particular, the rape planting project will help to renovate the vacant land in the spring and Mu Cang Chai will be better known for owning the "golden season" yearly.
