The art performance with the theme “The Western of Yen Bai brightens a country”

Attending the ceremony was Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Do Duc Duy - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders throughout the ages; the members in the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai Province; representatives of provincial departments, branches and unions; leaders of Nghia Lo Town through the ages, traditional folk artisans and the large numbers of people in the town and tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ha Van Nam - Chairman of Nghia Lo Town People's Committee emphasized: Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Week 2017 is the occasion to honor the typical cultural values of the locality, boost the patriotic tradition, the national pride, consolidate the great unity bloc of the people, promote cultural values, create a focal point for the development of tourism, attract domestic and foreign visitors to Nghia Lo - Muong Lo and western districts of Yen Bai province. These are also practical activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Nghia Lo town.

He wished every Nghia Lo - Muong Lo people to preserve and promote the quintessence of their nation's culture with all pride, love for the homeland and the hope for the bright future; Take positive actions for the tourism development of the homeland, the country from the smallest work. Every citizen in Muong Lo is proud of their culture by preserving the beauty of his words, scripts, costumes, houses, customs so that the priceless spiritual culture that the Nghia Lo people will be proud of will be preserved and develop with the honor of the people, contributing to the construction and development of tourism in the West of Yen Bai to become one of the four key tourist areas of the province.

Han Khuong is recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage

At the opening ceremony, the People's Committee of Nghia Lo Town announced the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize the "Han Khuong" of the Thai in Muong Lo - Nghia Lo as a national Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is the result of the process of preserving and promoting the extremely unique cultural value of a kind of folk cultural activities in Nghia Lo and Muong Lo; At the same time is a living proof of the vitality and spread of traditional Muong Lo culture. This is a traditional festival of Thai ethnic people with deep human meaning, usually held in the spring days when the crop is finished.

The art performance with the theme “Mu Cang Chai - The time tones”

Immediately after the opening ceremony, there was a special performance with the theme "Golden waves on the mountain". The program consists of 3 chapters. Chapter 1 with the theme of "Muong Lo - The convergence of cultural colors", Chapter 2 with the theme "Mu Cang Chai - The time tones", Chapter 3 with the theme "Western of Yen Bai brightens a country". Each show has its own theme with impressive performances, reflecting the cultural identity of the locality

Immediately after the art performance was the performance of  Khen Be set Vietnam record.

Ending the Opening Ceremony, leaders of Yen Bai province, delegates, departments, unions of the province and people, visitors joined together in “Dai xoe” with the participation of  750 artisans, mass performers of Nghia Lo Town, which expressed the spirit of unity and willingness of ethnic people in Muong Lo cultural area.

Earlier, at 6 p.m on September 23, on the Dien Bien route to Nghia Lo town stadium took place a lively street show.
