Over time, the business community in the province develops both quantity and quality. In 2017, the province has granted business registration certificates to 210 enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 3,450 billion, an increase of 12 enterprises, registered capital doubled compared to 2016. By 2017, there are 1,777 enterprises, 299 cooperatives, 17,950 business households in the province.

Having above results, the province has implemented many solutions for administrative reform, especially administrative procedures, improving investment environment, companion with businesses ... The provincial authorities and localities have regularly held meetings to meet and interact with the business community; or to check the actual progress of the implementation of each project to listen to the thoughts, aspirations as well as difficulties arising in the course of operation; so, there are close guidance to support the business. Therefore, difficulties and obstacles of enterprises are thoroughly resolved, bringing satisfaction to the business.

Determining the upgrading of provincial competitiveness index is one of the breakthroughs for high and sustainable economic development, Yen Bai step by step improve the business investment environment by promulgating the Action program, plan for implementation of Resolution 19 and Resolution 35 of the Government with the aim of resolutely improving the provincial competitiveness index, creating an open and transparent environment in business investment for enterprises. In particular, the simplification of administrative procedures is strongly implemented. Administrative procedures  have been shortenedsuch as establishment of enterprises, issuance of investment registration certificates, etc. in accordance with the provisions of law. Specifically, simplifying the procedures and shorten the time for business establishment to 2 working days; Reducing 40-60% of the time for settlement of administrative procedures on investment to investment projects in the province from the date of receiving valid dossiers; Reducing 20% of the time to process the procedures for the granting of land use rights certificates, goods clearance time of less than 36 hours for exported goods, 41 hours for imported goods….

The results of these solutions are evident in the number of enterprises investing in Yen Bai. It is expected that in 2017, the province decided to invest in 44 projects with total registered capital of VND 15,400 billion, up 12 projects, registered capital up 21.2%, equivalent to VND 2,690 billion compared with 2016.

With the view of accompanying the business development, in the coming time, the province will focus on reviewing regulations on supporting enterprises, encouraging investment, supporting small and medium enterprises in production and business; reviewing, reducing and simplifying administrative procedures, especially administrative procedures relates to land, investment, business and construction; Departments, branches and localities shall intensify the State management work and actively coordinate with investors and enterprises in promptly grasping and settling difficulties and problems so as to ensure investment projects to make progress, effective production and business activities, create spillover effects and positive impacts on new investors; To intensify the coordination and cooperation with enterprises and investors in recruiting and supporting local labor training; At the same time, focus on solving social problems, ensuring security and order ... creating peace of mind and confidence of investors and businesses in the province.
