Yen Bai province has many potentials and strengths in the development of typical products such as agro-forestry and food processing; exploiting and processing minerals, producing construction materials; hydropower development; handicrafts items; products from agriculture. Typical products are wood, paper, joinery, plywood, sawn timber, packaging exported to China, Korea and Japan. In 2018, the industry and trade sector achieved significant results, in which industrial production value expected to increase by 10%, export value increased by over 25%, total goods flow increased by over 11% compared to 2017. Many products are produced and consumed stably and grown quite like tea, tapioca, cinnamon, plywood, powdered stone, sawn stone, garment export ... Thanks to bring into full play potentials, together with synchronous implementation of trade promotion solutions, seeking and expanding market for agricultural products, up to now, many specialty products with high yield and good quality of Yen Bai have been introduced, promoted and consumed inside and outside the country such as Van Chan oranges, Luc Yen oranges, Dai Minh pomelos, Son Tra fruit, Suoi Giang tea, Tu Le sticky rice , Cinnamon oil, Bat Dobamboo shoots ...

At this conference, representatives of Department of Industry and Trade, Trade Promotion Centers, manufacturing enterprises, as well as distributors of many provinces and cities in the region discussed, exchanged, learnt more about models, quality of products, product quality standards and procedures for sending them to supermarkets, trade centers, domestic and foreign markets; discussed solutions to improve product quality, expand market, distribute products to consumers.

At the conference, Mr. Duong Van Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stressed that this is an important conference to create conditions for enterprises and economic organizations in and outside the province to show and introduce products; meet, discuss, sign economic contracts, memoranda on the supply and consumption of their products.
