120 years ago, on 11/4/1900, Yen Bai province was formally established Yen Bai province, ending the period of military administration. Yen Bai officially became a provincial-level administrative unit but remained under the rule of the feudal government apparatus; Yen Bai people were enslaved in the dark, backward, miserable and miserable life. The revolutionary spirit, resilient bravery and the will to become a great strength, encouraged the people of Yen Bai ethnic groups and the people of the whole country to stand up to the French colonialists ... From the revolutionary movements and practical requirements, on June 30, 1945, the Tonkin Party Committee decided to establish Yen Bai - Phu Tho Inter-Party Committee for Party Affairs, opening an important historical milestone on the founding date of the Provincial Party Committee and this is a new turning point for the revolutionary struggle movement in localities of the whole province. From here, under the unified leadership of the provincial Party Committee, faithful people sacrificed for the struggle for national liberation. After the August Revolution, under the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in the province firmly defended the young government and consolidated the armed forces ... inplementing "All-people, all-round, long-lasting, self-reliant" war, combining both resistance and national construction, building a strong rear, and the army and people of the country had launched many historic campaigns to reach the peak Dien Bien Phu victory.

Entering the stage of national construction, after nearly 35 years of implementing the renovation policy, the Party Committee, authorities and people of all ethnic groups in the province continue to promote the revolutionary tradition to unite, mobilize internal resources, mobilize all resources to build Yen Bai hometown increasingly developing.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong - Member of the Politburo, permanent member of the Secretariat praised the achievements of Yen Bai province in recent years.

He urged the provincial authorities to strive to overcome difficulties so as to transform Yen Bai into a moderately well-off province in the northern mountainous region.

He also asked the province to pay attention to protecting natural resources, especially forests and mineral resources.
