Immediately after the Law came into effect, in order to create favorable conditions for the private economy to develop and encourage the development of enterprises in the area, the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee promptly issued a plan to implement the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises. At the same time, promulgated resolutions and schemes specifying the content of support norms in order to create conditions for Small and Medium Enterprises to access capital, land, science, technology, and markets for production business development.

Implementing the credit support policy, Yen Bai branch of the State Bank directed the commercial bank branches in the area to well implement the credit solutions; concentrate investment credit capital to lend to small and medium-sized enterprises, support enterprises to develop viable production and business plans, enhance governance capacity, management skills, and financial transparency of enterprises to improve market accessibility. Commercial banks have proactively approached customers who are small and medium-sized enterprises providing loans with low interest rates.

In addition, Yen Bai branch of the State Bank directed credit institutions to effectively implement the program to connect businesses - banks. Up to now, commercial bank branches have committed to provide loan support to 1,049 customers with a loan commitment amount of VND 14,640 billion and outstanding loan balance of VND 8,473 billion; committed to support to reduce interest rates for 7,358 customers with outstanding loans of VND 6,227 billion.

Regarding support for production and business premises, in the period of 2018 - 2020, the province has allocated and leased land for 122 projects with an area of ​​​​811.55 hectares. The province focuses on promoting trade promotion, supporting and creating conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in domestic and abroad trade promotion programs, fairs and exhibitions. Every year, attending weekly introduction of agro-forestry products of the province at trade centers and supermarkets in Hanoi; coordinating with units and enterprises to organize conferences to connect supply and demand in Yen Bai province,

Departments, agencies and sectors focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate technology, human resources, transform from business households, join industry clusters, value chains, etc. Thanks to the synchronous and effective implementation of supporting contents, small and medium-sized enterprises have developed in both quantity and quality.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, by the end of 2020, the province has 2,369 small and medium-sized enterprises, with a total registered capital of VND 27,580 billion. In the period 2018 - 2020, the total revenue of small and medium-sized enterprises is estimated at 59,691 billion VND, the profit after tax is estimated at 1,920 billion VND. Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in socio-economic development, creating jobs for local workers.
