In the first eight months of 2021, the community of businesses and cooperatives in the province upheld the spirit of proactive overcoming difficulties, self-reliance, self-reliance, efforts to adapt to the new situation. The whole province has established 209 new enterprises, bringing the total number of enterprises in the province to nearly 2,600 enterprises, with a total registered capital of about VND 29,000 billion . Revenue in 8 months of enterprises is estimated at over VND 21,100 billion , equaling 125.6% over the same period.

By the end of August 15, the total number of cooperatives established was 63 cooperatives, an increase of 16.7% over the same period, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the province to 564. The average revenue of a cooperative reached over VND1.3 billion. In the first 8 months of 2021, businesses and cooperatives paid over VND 823 billion to the state budget, accounting for about 62% of the province's total balanced revenue, an increase of nearly 15% over the same period. The total number of employees in enterprises is over 42,000 people, 28,000 members in cooperatives. The average income of employees in enterprises ranges from 5.4 to 6.7 million VND/person/month.

In addition to the results achieved, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, many businesses had to downsize or suspend operations; 418 enterprises and 41 cooperatives have temporarily ceased operation; 28 enterprises and 2 cooperatives dissolved; the number of unemployed workers receiving unemployment benefits until August is over 2,360 people with a total payment of over VND 31 billion.

At the conference, businesses and cooperatives in the area were informed about the policies of the Central and the province on solutions to support to remove difficulties for production and business, and respond to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a frank and open atmosphere, representatives of businesses and cooperatives expressed their excitement and thanks to all levels and branches in the province for proactively flexibly taking measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic; stablize the life for the people. However, in the context of general difficulties, businesses and cooperatives have also been heavily affected by the epidemic, so it is recommended that the province continue to remove difficulties in administrative procedures, especially those related to administrative procedures on land; supporting tourism, transport and export enterprises in tax exemption and reduction; reduce bank interest rates; business loan support. Businesses and cooperatives  requested to be provided with information on land use planning; stabilize material prices; deploy vaccination for workers; support to pay social insurance for employees…

With the spirit of demand, leaders of departmentsmand branches absorbed and explained the issues of enterprises and cooperatives, and at the same time better informed about the policies of the Central and the province to support the businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee recognized the efforts as well as the results achieved by enterprises and cooperatives in the province over the past time. In the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, which will directly affect the socio-economic development and production and business activities, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, all levels and agencies, localities and the business community need to focus on realizing "dual goals", in particular, focus on preventing and combating the Covid-19 epidemic with the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", determined to control the epidemic and maintain a safe "green zone".

He requested departments, agencies and sectors to promptly and effectively deploy support policies for businesses and cooperatives according to central and provincial policies; good implementation of administrative reform, especially online administrative procedures at level 3, level 4, procedures through public services, in which special attention is paid to land procedures; focus on guiding organizations and individuals on the order, procedures and dossiers of request for tax exemption, reduction, extension, postponement of taxes and fees for businesses and cooperatives affected by the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure a quick and timely manner, right policy.

Promote the application and implementation of digital  and digital technologies to support enterprises and cooperatives in epidemic prevention and control and to serve production and business activities.

Strengthen direction of credit institutions to create favorable conditions for enterprises to access loans, to exempt and reduce lending interest rates, to extend loan terms, to extend repayment terms and to implement solutions to promote production and business according to regulations.

Well implement solutions on goods circulation, ensuring supply and demand; supporting enterprises to search, connect to consume goods and expand markets; timely and effective implementation of the Government's Resolution No.68; to urgently vaccinate the subjects according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee.

Districts, towns and city regularly update and grasp difficulties and problems of enterprises and investors to promptly remove contents under their authority. The Provincial Business Association, Young Business Association, and Women Entrepreneurs Association share difficulties and are responsible for the community. Enterprises and cooperatives need to perform well the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, actively change their production and business methods to adapt to epidemic conditions; improve management quality, apply digital technology in production and business; promote e-commerce, expanding markets, focusing on exploiting the domestic market, seizing new business opportunities.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Yen Bai province would continue to listen to and absorb the opinions of businesses and cooperatives through many channels to propose mechanisms and policies to support businesses in a timely manner, contributing to improve the province's competitiveness index, ensure stable development of enterprises in the area.
