Mr. Do Duc Duy - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate Ban Lung village

Ban Lung village has 126 households with 625 people. Three years ago, Ban Lung was one of the villages heavily affected by natural disasters. Overcoming loss and pain, with the determination of the people and the help and facilitation of authorities at all levels, up to now, Lung village has revived strongly. Ban Lung village has been invested by the State with more than VND13 billion to rebuild infrastructure such as houses, concrete roads, clean water works... The investment attention of the State and the efforts of the people brought this land back to life. Up to now, 100% of households in the village have solid and stable houses; stable economic life. Ban Lung village today has put on a new face when there are no more hungry households, the poverty rate reduces to less than 10%. The village strives by the end of this year to reduce more than 3% of poor households and raise the per capita income to VND30 million/year. Ban Lung village currently has more than 10 models of developing buffalo and cow husbandry and a number of other models such as goat farming and cinnamon cultivation for good income.

Up to now, Ban Lung has been recognized as a new rural village and has become the second village of Phong Du Thuong commune to meet new rural standards.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee was excited by the changes of Ban Lung village. From a particularly difficult area, with very limited socio-economic conditions, up to now, the appearance of Phong Du Thuong commune, especially Ban Lung, has changed day by day, more beautifully, creating a new social vitality and a new atmosphere.

Mr. Do Duc Duy emphasized: The construction of Ban Lung village to meet new rural standards from the difficulties and challenges in the last term is very happy and very proud. However, maintaining, consolidating and further improving the quality of the achieved criteria is much more difficult that is requiring the Party committees, authorities and people of the whole village to make more determination, efforts again. In particular, the people need to be aware of and instill the policy "New rural construction is a central, regular and long-term task, with only a starting point, no stopping point".

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the village people continue to promote the achieved results, constantly make efforts, determined to maintain, consolidate and uphold the new rural standards that have met the standards, bringing the village to a new, prosperous, happy one, striving to build Ban Lung village into a model new rural area, making an important contribution towards the goal of building Phong Du Thuong commune to meet new rural standards in 2023, Van Yen district to become a new rural district in 2024.

On this occasion, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy gave gifts to Ban Lung village and 12 poor households and policy families of Ban Lung village.

Mr. Chu Dinh Ngu - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee donated VND60 million to the village to buy cement to build roads. Leaders of the Department of Transport and Van Yen district presented meaningful gifts to the people in the village.
