The prince expressed his desire to soon have the opportunity to visit Vietnam, including Yen Bai with great changes in the process of innovation and international integration.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Ta Van Long - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement between the British Business Association in Vietnam and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Yen Bai province , Lang Son province, Dac Lac province.

In Manchester - the second largest and most populous city of the Mist Country, considered as the first industrialized city in the world, Mr. Duong Van Thong Deputy Secretary of Provincial Standing Party Committee and Yen Bai delegation working paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Abid Latif Chohan - Mayor of Manchester. Mr. Duong Van Thong expressed his desire to promote cooperation between this high-tech city of England and Yen Bai province.

The Mayor Abid Latif Chohan was impressed by the information about Yen Bai, especially the potentials, advantages of the people, culture and resources of the province and the direction of development cooperation between the two sides. In Manchester, Mr. Duong Van Thong and the delegation attended the seminar "Connecting local cooperation /Vietnamese businesses – Manchester businesses".

At the Conference, Yen Bai delegation introduced the potentials and key projects of the province which are prioritizing to attract investment. British businesses have appreciated the initiative and creativity of Yen Bai in its efforts to promote the image and build up a typical local brand name in terms of history, culture, geographical diversity and strong strengths in investment cooperation.

Here, Mr. Duong Van Thong witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between the British Business Association in Vietnam and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Yen Bai province, Lang Son province, Dac Lac province; cooperation agreement between British University Vietnam and Department of Foreign Affairs and Yen Bai province, Lang Son province, Dac Lac province.

Immediately after the visit to the UK, Mr. Duong Van Thong and the provincial delegation came to work in the Federal Republic of Germany. He and his team worked with Mr. Horst Geicke - Vice Chairman of the German Business Association; paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Birgit Hesse - President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Parliament and Mr. Norbert Barthle - Secretary of State for German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.

"Connecting local cooperation/Vietnamese enterprises - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state" was the talk subject organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs under Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany to introduce and promote the locals in Vietnames in Germany with the participation of the provinces: Yen Bai, Dac Lac and Lang Son.

The seminar was a great opportunity for businesses on both sides to connect, seek opportunities for cooperation and investment, exploit the potential and strengths of each side in many fields, such as: economy, trade, investment, finance, education - training, science and technology, tourism ...

Representatives of a number of typical Vietnamese enterprises in Germany also exchanged and shared their knowledge and experiences with the desire to help localities of Vietnam, especially in Yen Bai, Dac Lac and Lang Son take advantages of the opportunities opening to the German market, in the context of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the Investment Protection Agreement (IPA) signed by Vietnam and the European Union (EU) on June 30 in Hanoi and approved in the future.

On this occasion, the Foreign Affairs Department and representatives of Yen Bai, Dac Lac and Lang Son provinces signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in organizing training courses and fostering knowledge for cadres working in the field of foreign affairs in localities Vietnam.
