Currently, Van Yen district has 231 enterprises and 92 cooperatives. In the first 9 months, 37 enterprises and cooperatives were newly established. Most of the enterprises are small-scale, operate mainly in the field of agricultural production and processing agro-forestry products such as cinnamon, wood, and cassava. However, the products are mainly at the semi-finished stage, the selling price is not stable, the consumption market depends heavily on the purchasing power of enterprises outside the province. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, 21 enterprises and cooperatives stopped or suspended production and business.

In order to both prevent, control the epidemic, and remove difficulties, facilitate and promote production and business for enterprises, Van Yen district has actively reviewed, promulgated and directed the implementation of policies, activities and offered many solutions to accompany businesses to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. Luu Trung Kien - Vice Chairman of Van Yen District People's Committee said: "The district has established a Working Group to develop and implement the district's Action Plan to restore and promote industrial and commercial development in the new phase. In particular, the district focuses on capturing and exchanging information with businesses and cooperatives in order to promptly detect and find solutions to overcome difficulties, problems for enterprises, cooperatives on production, supply, product consumption, market supply and demand movements to advise enterprises and cooperatives to have appropriate production plans. Promote trade promotion activities to support enterprises and cooperatives to promote products, connect product consumption by appropriate forms. Ensure conditions for production such as electricity, water, petrol, etc. On the other hand, the district effectively implements policies to support enterprises and cooperatives to create attractiveness in business model transformation, promote business development. In particular, Van Yen district has created all favorable conditions for households producing and trading specialty products to have a competitive advantage in promoting and introducing products, giving priority to support for key products so that businesses, cooperatives participating in the OCOP program have promoted their effectiveness. By the end of September, the industrial production value reached nearly VND 897 billion, up 15% over the same period in 2020.

In the coming time, Van Yen district will continue to offer solutions to support businesses and cooperatives to maintain and stabilize production and business activities such as: focusing on solving difficulties in land lease procedures; information on land use planning; connecting and promoting product consumption, stabilizing material prices; tax exemptions; reduce bank interest rates; loan support; support, find outputs for products... And the central solution focused on by the district is to help businesses and cooperatives early access and understand policies, solve problems of enterprises and cooperatives thoroughly; establish an e-commerce site to promote and support sales for businesses and cooperatives./.
